Bressay-based artist Aimee Labourne has embarked on an exciting new project connecting young and old through drawing and storytelling. She invites people to share their lived experiences of Bressay and how it has changed in the last century.

These stories will then be used in workshops with children using collage, layering, tracing and drawing to "describe thoughts, capture time, and navigate a sense of place and environment through drawing."

"As well as being enjoyable for those involved, I hope this project will also imaginatively explore larger themes about island life - how it has changed and continues to change, which is something that connects us all.”

This project is in association with Shetland Arts and is part of Culture Collective, a Scotland-wide programme supported by Creative Scotland.
